In my schooling I learnt probably one of the biggest lessons in life - Never Quit.Here is an extract from the speech i gave in my school assembly written by myself using some quotations.
All of us sometimes in life feel that we are the biggest failures, worthless, hopeless and go into depression, into a well which only gets deeper and deeper.
Let me tell you, failure is mere perception. For example, a boy comes third in his class is a success for another boy who stands third but for him it is a catastrophe. Now he has two options - easier one being to stop working hard and convincing himself that he can never reach the top, or the harder way, to toil and beat everyone in the race. Often we choose the easier option and make things worse. always keep in mind - The first time you quit its hard, the second time its easier and the third time you don't even notice it.
What causes a person to quit? Negative thinking. It cripples a person's life to one degree or another. It robs people of the opportunity to live uptop their full potential. To prevent it, just monitor your each and every thought and stop as soon as you see negative thoughts creeping. Remember great people DON'T KNOW how to quit!
An important thing- STAY AWAY FROM CRABS. There is a special technique of catching crabs. Food is kept in a cage and crabs are allowed to enter to eat the food. But after dinishing, they are not able to come out of an open cage. Do you know why? Because if one crab tries to come out of the cage, other crabs pull him down. Eventually he loses hope and falls back.
Underachiever, people who themselves couldn't do anything may stop you or discourage you from pursuing your dreams. Stay away from them, more importantly don't be one of them. A good way to prevent losing hope is to set shorter goals leading successively to a bigger goal(Wait for me to blog on purpose of life). For example, you have to walk 10 kilometers on a road. Seems tough isn't it! What winners do is they always aim to reach the next lamp post. Every time the goal seems easy and eventually we reach the finish line.
A simple yet wonderful technique to get rid of low feelings and to regain enthusiasm and energy is to enact how you would behave after achieving your dream. Jump over the bed and shout out as if you were just married to Megan Fox(actually i mean your goal). Imagine that real joy. It might seem funny but I assure you it really works.Your sleep shouldn't be broken by nightmares rather by falling off the bed celebrating your dream.
Whenever you are depressed, confused or hurt, stand in front of the mirror and you will find the best person to solve your problems.
I would like to conclude with a wonderful poem which has inspired me in my tough times.
When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you are trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
